I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. As we’ve done the past two years, OBRA is offering a December Discount on annual memberships for adults. Through December 31, adult memberships for 2026 are $40.
I’m also happy to share that beginning January 1, 2026, our adult annual memberships will continue to be $50. Junior memberships will once again be free in 2026 and U23 memberships will remain at $10.

The deadline for submitting proposed changes to OBRA’s racing rules has been extended to December 10. Any current OBRA member may submit a proposal for a rule change, which will be voted on at the annual meeting in January.
Who votes on racing rule changes? Our administrative rules specify one vote each from:
- One representative from each OBRA-registered team
- Individual race promoters
- The OBRA Director of Officials
- The OBRA Executive Director
To submit your proposed change to a racing rule, please email me by December 10.
OBRA Board of Directors Openings
Are you passionate about bicycle racing in Oregon? We are currently accepting applications for two seats with our Board of Directors. Our dedicated board members serve three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms before rotating off.
To offer your candidacy, please email me by January 15. One representative from each OBRA-registered team and the Executive Director cast votes to elect new board members.
Stay Tuned: Annual Meeting + Awards Party in January
We saw a 16% increase in annual OBRA memberships in 2025—the first growth since 2021—and the total racer days increased by 9%, with road, gravel, criterium and cyclocross leading the way.
These are very positive trends for our sport, and I look forward to sharing more details at the OBRA Annual Meeting and Awards Party in January. Look for more details soon!
Access to OBRA Chat in 2026
Three years ago, we updated our policy for participating in the OBRA Chat Google Group. This private forum is a benefit for current OBRA members.
Even if you're a 2025 member, you will need to renew your OBRA annual membership by January 1 if you want to maintain access to OBRA Chat. In mid-January, we'll remove all existing members from the OBRA Chat and refresh it with current 2026 members.
If you purchase an annual OBRA membership later in 2026, you'll need to request access to OBRA Chat and we'll add you to group.
2026 Race Calendar Coming Soon
We are receiving a large number of event submissions for the 2026 OBRA race calendar, and our promoters are collaborating on a draft working calendar. Look for the final race calendar to appear on the OBRA website later this month!
