Does OBRA have an air quality rule or does the Mt. Tabor race have one?

I have to drive from Salem so it would be nice to have some idea before making the trip

Great question,

Please refer to the OBRA racing rules: the policy starts on page 105

NOAA/NWS has an Air Quality Forecast, which might be helpful for planning travel.
Set the Air Quality Element to smoke to track impacts from wildfires.

So what data source will be used?  Closest DEQ monitoring station?

For those that don’t want to dig through the document, here are the pertinent rules pasted below.

For AQI (page 107):

• When the AQI exceeds 150, races will be cancelled orpostponed.

• When the AQI is 100-150, the race officials in consultation with the promoters will consider shortening the length/duration of a race.

For Heat (page 108):

When temperatures exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, race officials in consultation with the promoters will consider the length/duration of a race.

Currently the AQI is less than 100, but the temperature is forecast to be greater than 90°F
