I’m excited to announce that Dialed Cycling is once again hosting our annual Michael Myers Memorial Time Trial. The race will take place on the usual flat 20km course out at Vancouver Lake on Sunday, March 22nd.

For this, our fifth year of hosting this event, we have decided to shake things up and change the format a little. Firstly, except as mentioned below, all races will be ‘Eddy’ style, meaning you don’t need to have a special time trial or other aero bike to be competitive. The rules are simple; all bikes must be regular road bikes. No aero cockpit and no specialized aero wheels (disk /tri-spoke). Aero helmets and skin suits will be allowed. We feel like this is in keeping with current trends and will just make the race a more inclusive event and give everyone a chance to be competitive in their age group and category.

There will be an ‘open’ category with no equipment restrictions for both men and women. This will include all pro and cat 1 and 2 racers as well as triathletes and anyone else who just wants to ride a ‘traditional’ time trial.

The second big announcement is that we will have team time trial races in the afternoon after the ITT races are finished. Teams of four with time being recorded for the third rider crossing the line. It’s been quite a few years since there has been any TTT OBRA racing, and these races are just a lot of fun. I really hope that all of our local teams will want to put together at least one team for these races. There’ll be three different age categories as well as a mixed men /women’s category.

Please help make this event a success by signing up early. Registration is now open at obra.org and all the information is posted here. If you have any other questions, you can contact me at 24ig...@gmail.com
