I'm thinning the stable and parting with my Planet-X XLS, built for CX but raced exclusively for gravel for a few seasons. Mine is in the understated matt black finish. This is an awesome all-arounder for somebody who wants to try their hand at road, gravel, and/or cyclocross without going in on three bikes!
The details:
- 54 cm frame. I'm 5'10" and leggy and the bike was comfortable for gravel racing but a tad too small for CX (small triangle for shouldering and some toe overlap).
- SRAM Force 1 group set (including carbon cranks)
- Hydraulic disk brakes
- Comes with factory Fulcrum Rapid Red (alu) wheelset which is beat up but still recently trued and running smooth (ideal for CX) AND a pair of low-mileage Reynolds carbon wheels (great on the road and for less chunky gravel). Both sets are freshly taped and tubeless ready. Note: it is standard (old school) quick-release not thru-axle.
- I also have a full line-up of tires to offer, including some classic Clement PDXers for the CX season, some Challenge CX/gravel tires (33mm, file tread in center), and a Continental gravel tire set (mullet, with 40mm upfront and 35mm rear) which served me really well last year.
- Also includes a great frame bag for your graveling adventures and a new San Marco saddle.
- Bike has been fully overhauled twice, with only 150 miles on it since last overhaul which included new drivetrain, bottom bracket, and headset bearings.
Asking $1750 but open for offers that provide a good home. *I will offer a very hefty discount for junior OBRA racers.*
