The clock is ticking down to the Women's Kierin event at the UCI Track World Championships! McKenna was on the schedule to race the Team Sprint two days ago, but did not. The team of Hayley Yoslov, Kayla Hankins, and Emily Hayes placed 7th, setting a national
team record of 47.631!
McKenna's comments: "Super proud of my teammates for making history. Honestly feels like the change has finally arrived for America's female Sprint Program. Bummed I didn't get to ride but it's not the end for me. Shaking it off and looking forward to pouring
all my emotions an energy into the Keirin Sunday."
This is McKenna's third time representing Team USA at UCI Track Worlds! I hope M's inspirational story will peak your interest in the world of Olympic/Elite level competition, and to learn more about what these athletes sacrifice in their quest and desire
to seek excellence in their chosen sports. Why we care is because they inspire us to be our better selves.
