annual meeting and chat

Dear OBRA community,

The OBRA annual meeting and awards celebration are on Saturday, February 1. The annual meeting will run from 2-5 pm with the awards party starting at 6 pm. Pizza and salads from Sizzle Pie will be served at the awards ceremony along with beer from our awesome partners at New Belgium. There will also be non alcoholic beverages. 

I will send out the list of rule proposals and board candidates early next week. All OBRA members are welcome at the annual meeting and can join in the discussions of the rule proposals. However, only OBRA team representatives, race promoters and our director of officials can vote. 

OBRA Chat

One year ago we changed the OBRA chat group to be available to current OBRA members only. On Friday, January 31, we will delete the members of the google group then add back all the current OBRA members. Please remember to renew your membership if you wish to remain in the group.

Has obra tried to get visibility via bikeportland.org? Perhaps one of their editors could attend, shoot pics and do a write up to celebrate the awards?

The OBRA Chat update will happen programmatically and it's based primarily on emails, and will try to fall back to matching names. If anyone is one of the handful of folks that has an OBRA chat email that doesn't match what's in their OBRA membership, don't panic, you'll simply need to request access, and we'll try to make a note of it for next year.
