Hey Bike Friends Who Love to Race in the NW,

Registration is open for the Banana Belt Road Race on Sunday April 6th.

Banana Belt will be race #2 of the newly formed PNW CUP, which will feature road races on both the OBRA and WSBA calendars. In addition to bragging rights and some sick leaders jerseys, the PNW CUP is aimed to showcase to our race community the options you all have to race road from March to September.

Banana Belt will be the OBRA JUNIOR ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS! Any OBRA Annual Member who is race age 10-18 is eligible to compete!

And don't believe the USAC vs. OBRA myths! Category reciprocity exists, and I've helped quite a few people navigate these category upgrades across organizations so you can race where you belong! If you need help just email me and we'll figure it out.

VALKYR CYCLING is hosting Banana Belt as a fundraiser to further their mission "to provide tangible opportunities for women and girls to race bikes and to develop smart, confident athletes.

We are also committed to making road racing more accessible for everyone. We are keeping registration costs low for open categories, and subsidizing the cost for Women and Juniors. 

Lastly, these races cannot happen without the help of volunteers. We will need lead and follow car drivers, as well as a few select support people at registration. Please consider clicking the link and taking on one of these roles. I'll provide you with a free race registration, and you'll provide a whole field with a race. Not a fair trade I know, but you'll make it onto Travis' List which is slightly cooler than the lists Craig, Emily and Angie have.
