I can comfortably say the Washougal MTB Racing weekend was a success! The owner of Washougal really liked what we were able to achieve and he wants to be more involved moving forward. More trails and more dirt moved around with heavy equipment. Let's go!

Having a VIP tent at the start of the XC course was awesome and I thought they were leaving the keys to the Yakima branded Tacoma with me but that was just for display purposes only I guess. We would like to congratulate everyone who hit the podium and those who were awarded OBRA Championship jerseys.
The team and I are still doing course tear down but are already excited about planning the 2024 Washougal MTB Racing weekend. Short Track on Saturday and Cross Country on Sunday seems to work well. Most feedback about the course was positive but we’d like to explore an option to soften up the initial climbing. And maybe only keep the more challenging rock gardens for elites/cat 1’s and maybe cat 2’s. I got a year to figure this out...
