I’m already checking Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and other resale sites, and I’ve filed a report with the police (including photos of the bikes and my property). If you have other ideas or know of effective ways to recover stolen bikes, I’d love to hear them. Also, if anyone has experience navigating insurance after a bike theft, please let me know.
As a side note, I was planning to ride in Washougal this Saturday, but now I’m without a bike—so it looks like I may also be in the market for a replacement.
Stolen Bikes:
Norco Carbon Threshold (2018, 56cm)
Was on a bike stand with the rear wheel off. Thieves took the bike and the wheel but not the thru-axle, so it might not be rideable right away.
Recently swapped tires: 38mm on the front, 33mm on the back—an easy detail to spot.
Trek Aluminum (2005, 56cm)
Upgraded with 2x Ultegra drivetrain and Empire brake levers.
Black flat pedals (not in photo).
Rear pannier rack (not in photo).
Thanks in advance for keeping an eye out and for any help or advice you can share.
