Attached below is the slate of films that will be shown throughout the festival. Opening day at NYPL will open with Ka Huaka’i, two shorter films, a Lahaina recovery talk story, and finish with the theatrical debut of Waikiki the Film. Also, a part of opening day will take place at Films at Lincoln Center that will be devoted to Student Films and will include an acting master class led by Whale Rider’s Cliff Curtis and The Wind and the Reckoning’s Lindsay Watson.
Sunday will show a variety of films in two theaters at the Angelika Village East. The film festival will close with The Wind and the Reckoning and a ticketed closing party at LaMama Experimental Theater Club’s new space, featuring a performance by slack key guitarist and Grammy-nominated Makana.
