Argentina's rich cinematic heritage is usually associated with the filmmaking tradition of Buenos Aires. This evening program features a selection of short films that trace routes through Argentine regions that have also been prolific in film production yet not usually showcased in international spaces.  Ranging from traditional formats to more avant-garde iterations, the program also highlights the efforts of Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken to diversify archival histories. Varela is a researcher and archivist for the Museum, and also a filmmaker. He is currently a Visiting Scholar at NYU.

This is an in-person event, open to the public. Prior registration is required. Non-NYU attendees will receive emailed instructions for building access and may be asked to present a government-issued photo ID upon arrival. NYU attendees must present their NYU ID.
