We are thrilled to announce that Fellows Margherita Barone, Gloria De Liberali, Jenny Hsu, and Justine Gain will be participating in Research Out Loud: Met Fellows Present, an annual series organized by the Academic & Professional Programs division, taking place in person and virtually May 8–23, 2025.
On Monday afternoon, May 19, during “The Lives of Objects 2” from 10:30am–12:30pm, Margherita Barone will present “A Stinky Challenge: Research, Study, and Removal of Deodorant Stains from a Geoffrey Beene late-1960s Black Ensemble” • Gloria de Liberali will present “From Hand to Hand: Researching Art Provenance at The Met” • Jenny Hsu will present “The Artwork Audit: Conservation of Time-Based Media Artworks Post-Acquisition” • Justine Gain will present “Barye at The Met: Collecting the Dawn of Modern Sculpture” • Discussant: Elyse Nelson, Associate Curator, Department of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts.
All in-person presentations in the Bonnie J. Sacerdote Lecture Hall, in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education, are free, though advance registration is required to attend the presentations on Zoom. Space is limited; first come, first served.
