Paulina Skavová is one of the most talented and original female artists from the Czech Republic.
Her work deals with femininity and feminism but does so in a very refreshing and optimistic manner, without any hidden anger. Besides her wits and intelligence, she is also great in the craft of whatever media she sets her mind to work in.
She is able to create great monumental works such as perfectly crafted bronze sculptures, as well as to play with concepts and light ideas, pictures, photographs, etc. in a very beautiful manner. Her works have been included in several major exhibitions at the National Gallery in Prague in the past several years.
Her awards include the 2001 Studio Award, Academy of Fine Arts Prague and the 2002 Jany Rybářová´s award, Fundazione Europea Margherita, Italy.
