Hi there,

Professional learning workshops are starting in July for middle and high school educators — apply now and make sure you get your principal’s approval before school is out!

Code.org’s Professional Learning Program will give you hands-on experience with the nation’s leading K-12 CS curriculum, including opportunities to practice teaching and to connect with other computer science educators.

Scholarships are still available to develop your skills as a CS teacher at no cost. Be sure to reach out to your Regional Partner with any questions.

Also coming on July 6th: CS Fundamentals, CS Discoveries, and CS Principles are all being refreshed with new features, including new cross-curricular extension activities for CS Fundamentals and a new Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning unit for CS Discoveries! Many of these changes are the direct result of feedback we’ve gotten from educators. (Note: Classrooms using the existing versions of curriculum will NOT be interrupted.)

And finally, starting in the fall, we’ll offer new opportunities like virtual field trips and classroom speakers to get your students excited and inspired about the real-world possibilities that computer science offers.

As this difficult school year comes to an end, I’d like to thank you for your incredible commitment to your students. All of us at Code.org have been continually inspired by the devotion, creativity, and persistence that educators nationwide have brought to their classrooms this year. Have a wonderful summer.
