First, thank you for your assistance with the NORTech event at BGSU last month. I thought it was a great event and a fantastic primer for teams involved in our National Robotics Challenge event, which will take place on April 3–5 in Marion, Ohio.
This year, we are excited to have 102 schools entered, representing 17 states and Puerto Rico, competing with 521 robot entries! We are expecting nearly 1500 participants for the NRC this year, making the 2025 NRC our biggest event to date!
With all that said, with numbers like this, we are going to need more judges than usual. Since you are already familiar with the competition and some of you have helped out at our event in Marion, Ohio in the past, we would like to invite you to consider volunteering as a judge for our event. Having quality judges with experience in the industry and some technical knowledge is very valuable for our students and advisors. Also, if you are looking for talent, in addition to our many graduating high school seniors that participate, we also have 240 students from 24 colleges and universities participating. Who knows, your next great employee might be someone you meet at the NRC!
If you can assist on one day or even all three days, that would be great! Our "big day“ is Friday, so if you can only help out for one day, that is the day when we need the most judges.
We have over 100 judge shifts that need to be filled for this event, so if you know of anyone who you think would be a good fit and might be available to assist, please feel free to pass on the link to them.
I’ve cc’d our Director of Contest Judgeing, Eli Cochran, on this message. Feel free to reach out to either one of us if you have any questions.
Thanks for all you do! We hope to see you in April!
