Ohio Cyber Security and Computer Science Educational Resources
During this meetup, attendees will learn about computer science resources available for Ohio students, with a focus on cyber security. There will be four presentations during the meetup.
The Ohio Department of Education will kick off the meetup with an update on the Ohio K-12 Computer Science Strategic Plan, Computer Science Licensure, Ohio’s Technology Seal and more.
There will be a live demonstration of the Ohio Cyber Range, including how teachers can sign up to access no-cost cyber security resources for use in the classroom, including six IT courses for college credit through College Credit Plus and bilateral agreements, 58 lessons at the K-12 introductory and intermediate levels, prebuilt labs with hardware and software configurations and more.
The Ohio Cyber Collaboration Committee’s (OC3) Education and Workforce Committee will be sharing an update of its current work with Ohio businesses and educational partners.
The session will finish with InnovateOhio giving an update of its efforts under the leadership of Lt. Governor Jon Husted to advance Governor DeWine’s commitment to leading an aggressive, innovative path toward a better and stronger Ohio, including the Cyber Ohio Initiative.
