Northwest State Community college is launching a Game Design Academy for students in grades 8-12. The academy will meet virtually 4 days a week from 3:30pm-5:00pm Monday through Thursday. The focus of the academy is the design of video games, there will be less emphasis on coding and more on design. By the end of the academy you will have built one level of a game using Game Maker Studio 2 and also will build a web page to share your game with the world. 

An informational open house and kickoff will be held today at 3pm via zoom.

Any interested people are invited to connect and find out more about the academy. Scholarships are available and even if you miss today's open house there are rolling enrollments so any interested students can join the program in coming weeks.
