Urgent Maintenance on Route Server 1 (198.32.195.251): 2025-11-10 17:00-20:00 PT

What: We will be performing an upgrade of the version of BIRD that is running on Route Server 1. Recently the route servers had an issue with sending a BGP update with attribute 35 (“Only to Customer”) causing instability with the BGP sessions on the route server. Tonight we will complete the fix by upgrading the last route server that is using BIRD code before the fix.

We are only doing maintenance on Router Server 1 (198.32.195.251) tonight as Route Server 2 (198.32.195.252) was upgraded on Friday (11/7).

Impact: BGP Sessions with Route Server 1 (198.32.195.251) will be interrupted while we perform the upgrade. Route server 2 (198.32.195.252) will remain up and unchanged during the maintenance to minimize any impact.
