Hi all,

Note: I am taking a break from add-on maintenance for a while. I may not respond to add-on change requests until further notice.

IMPORTANT COMMUNITY NOTICE: effective August 2026, two important changes will be made to add-ons maintained by yours truly (Joseph Lee):

  1. NVDA 2026.x requirement: starting August 2026, add-ons I am maintaining/working on will require NVDA 2026.x. I understand that mandating NVDA 2026.x to use my add-ons all at once will be disruptive. Therefore, the transition will be gradual – every month, one to three add-ons will ask you to upgrade to NVDA 2026.x. The transition will begin with StationPlaylist and Windows App Essentials and will end with AudioScreen and Braille Essentials.
  2. Separating changelog from add-on help file: Add-on help file serves as a quick overview of add-ons. Until now most add-ons included a brief changelog to document add-on changes over the years. To reduce clutter and to let the add-on help documentation focus on providing a quick add-on usage overview, changelog for add-ons such as Enhanced Touch Gestures and Resource Monitor will be moved to changelog files to be linked from add-on help documentation (changelog will live on GitHub). One or two add-ons will have their changelogs separated from add-on help files prior to August.

Affected add-ons: AudioScreen, Braille Essentials, Enhanced Touch Gestures, Event Tracker, GoldWave, ObjPad, Resource Monitor, StationPlaylist, Windows App Essentials, Zoom Enhancements.

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi all,

Update: Instead of Event Tracker, AudioScreen (and StationPlayist) will require NVDA 2026.x in August 2026.

Cheers,

Joseph

Joseph, while you are enjoying your well-deserved break from add-on maintenance, be aware that your work is very much appreciated.
