NVDA becomes slow with MS 365

Dear all,

I use a Windows 10 machine, and recently I've noticed that NVDA has become very slow when using Microsoft 365 applications.

Has anyone else experienced difficulties when using these applications? I already turned off the "Provide feedback with animation" option under File > Options > Accessibility, but it didn't seem to help.

I didn't have this issue with NVDA 25.x. Since upgrading to NVDA 26.x, everything still works, but performance is much slower and less responsive than before.

I'd appreciate any insights or suggestions. Thanks!

Can you give some exact steps to reproduce something which is particularly slow please?

Also, if you press NVDA+q then down arrow to "restart with debug logging and add-ons disabled" does it make a difference?  If not, that log could be useful.  You could also check to see if there is already an issue at Issues · nvaccess/nvda (I had a quick look and nothing jumped out).
