Dear All,

I am at a Marriott property, and it automatically connects to the guest connection. This is because I have been at Marriott many times. My problem is that the dialogue to put in the password does not show up.

On my iPhone, it just pops up, but not so on Windows. I did get a notification, and when I go to it says select this to connect. However, the whole notification area is a mystery to me. I cannot seem to select the notification and activate it.

Any ideas welcome.

Best

George

What I generally do if want to make sure of things like this is use windows key+A to bring up quick settings, tab over to manage wi-fi connections button, activate it using space bar, and then in list of wi-fi connections, you might need to use space bar on a connection name to make sure it has selection, and then tab over to things like the properties, connect and disconnect buttons - generally, if you activate the connect button from there it should prompt you for a password if necessary.

Stay well

Try visiting any Web site once the underlying wireless connection is established. This usually takes you to the captive portal page on which you can agree to the terms and conditions of the wireless network.

I’ve found those pages to be generally screen reader-accessible, but if it isn’t, that’s an issue for the property owner.
