Good afternoon to all.

I was wondering if nvda had an ocr option and if so, what is the process
for getting to it and using it? Thanks.

Hi Jerry,

This was covered in In-Process recently:

https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-10th-june-2026/#ocr

and again in:

https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-26th-june-2026/#ocr

Basically, press G until focus lands on the graphic you want to OCR,
and then press NVDA+R.

Hope this helps! :)

Gerry,

NVDA + r recognises the current object with OCR. Is this what you need?

All the best,
