I have opened a conversation thread in Gmail Standard View in Google Chrome. While in focus mode, I press “n” and NVDA reads the next message in full: sender name, email, time, some buttons, and then the entire message. I try reviewing the message, but I am in object review and just hit “top” and “bottom” right away. I switch to document review to read the email line by line. Then, I press “n” to read the next message. To read it carefully, I assume I’m already in document review so press NVDA+down arrow (move review cursor to next line of current navigator object) but turns out I was reverted to object review and so I hit “bottom” again. Questions:

• Can you reproduce this?

• Is it expected behaviour for NVDA+Shift+o to report “Gene via groups.io gsasner=gmai...@groups.io 12:28PM (5 hours ago) Not starred You can't react with an emoji …” but NVDA+up arrow to yield “top”, NVDA+down arrow to yield “bottom”, and NVDA+l to speak nothing? Or is this a bug?

• Is it expected behaviour for the review mode to keep reverting to object review?
