Navigating to Next Same Page Link

Now that NVDA can detect same page links, I've discovered at least one instance where one may want to be able to navigate to such a link like we can with visited and unvisited links. For example, in the digest messages I receive for this group, threads are separated by a same page link that says, "Back to top." The most efficient way I've found to move from one thread to the next is to navigate to that same page link. Because some threads contain a lot of links, pressing the letter K umpteen million times doesn't get me there as quickly as searching for "Back to top."

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a keystroke to navigate to the next same page link? I've looked in the  list in NVDA's help menu but haven't found such a keystroke. Unless I'm missing something, I hope the folks at NV Access will consider adding this feature to a future update. Thank you.

Hi Abbie,

That's a good suggestion, and one we likely would consider.  Would you be willing to write up an issue requesting it on our tracker at: Issues · nvaccess/nvda  As a feature request, you don't need to provide as much information - though citing the example of the group page here would be perfect as it gives a real world example of where a keystroke would be useful.

We use GitHub for tracking issues and basically any fix or new feature which gets into NVDA starts out as an issue there - hence, I can say it's a great idea here, but it won't get in front of the developers without a suggestion - and while I can write it up if needed, the benefit of you writing it up is that when the feature is just about ready, they will likely say here is a test build, can you please download it and see if it works?  (and I will have forgotten who suggested it by then, because I am very forgetful).

Kind regards

Quentin
