I am using Windows 11 25h2, nvda 2025.3.3 and Google Chrome
146.0.7680.154
AMD64. I am full blind. I need to scroll manually on a website. How can I scroll manually?

Hi Farhan,

While scrolling is often associated with a mouse wheel, you can definitely perform manual scrolling using only the keyboard. Depending on how much content you want to move at once, here are the most effective methods in Google Chrome with NVDA:

1. Standard Navigation Keys

• Page Up / Page Down: This is the most common way to scroll. It moves the view up or down by one full screen "page."

• Home / End: These will jump you instantly to the very top or the very bottom of the webpage.

• Arrow Keys: If you turn browse Mode on (NVDA + Focus Mode toggle, usually NVDA + Space), using the Up and Down Arrows will scroll the page in small increments.

2. Using the Spacebar

• In most browsers, including Chrome, pressing the Spacebar will scroll down by one page.

• Pressing Shift + Spacebar will scroll back up by one page.

3. NVDA Specific Commands

If you are trying to move the "Review Cursor" to parts of the screen that aren't currently visible:

• NVDA generally handles this automatically as you navigate by line or element.

• However, if you find a page isn't updating, you can try forcing the view to follow the focus by using the NVDA + Shift + End (or NVDA + Shift + Down Arrow on some layouts) to move the navigator object to the current focus.

Hopefully, this helps you navigate the site more easily!

Warm regards,
