Hi Everyone,

I am experiencing a recurring issue with the Free Radio add-on and wanted to see if anyone else is encountering the same behavior.

Every time I boot my laptop, I receive a prompt to update Free Radio. I proceed with the standard update process, it completes successfully, and NVDA restarts as expected. However, upon the next system reboot, the exact same update prompt appears again.

Unlike this specific add-on, my other NVDA add-ons update seamlessly in the background and only prompt for a single NVDA restart.

My Environment:

OS: Windows 11 (Version 25H2)

NVDA Version: 2026.1.1

Browsers: Chrome (Default) and Edge

Is this indicative of an actual rapid update cycle, or is it a known bug with the add-on failing to register the update? Any advice on whether I should continue updating or look for a workaround would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ravi.

Hi,

When the add-on update dialog pops up again, note down the add-on version. If the same version is being offered, then it could be something going on with add-on on the store.

There have been frequent uipdates to several add-ons for the past three or four days.

Cheers,

Joseph
