Beta1 of NVDA 2025.3 is now available for download and testing. For anyone who is interested in trying out what the next version of NVDA has to offer before it is officially released, we welcome you to download the beta and provide feedback using our issue reporting process. By installing the beta you will be opting into NVDA’s beta channel, and will only receive update notifications for beta and release candidate (RC) builds. The beta/RC channel will always keep you up to date with the latest NVDA version. The last RC in a release cycle is identical to the final stable release. To return to the stable release channel, upgrade manually to the latest stable buildLinks Highlights

This release includes improvements to Remote Access, SAPI5 voices, braille and the Add-on Store.

Add-ons in the Add-on Store can now be sorted by minimum/last tested NVDA version and install date.

Remote Access has had several minor fixes and improvements including adding a command to send control+alt+delete and remembering recent connection settings. There are also fixes for connection and audio issues.

Braille improves with smarter word wrap, stable table selection across language changes, and optional USB auto-detection for Dot Pad.

There are several bug fixes for SAPI5 voices, including fixes for excessive leading silence trimming, freezing issues, and audio gaps.

eSpeak NG and Unicode CLDR have been updated. Localisation data for emojis has been added for Belarusian and Bosnian.

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Re SAPI 5 eSpeak-NG.  For NVDA, I would stick with the built in version, especially as we have had a few SAPI5 issues recently.  If you would like to use it with other things, reading their GitHub page https://github.com/espeak-ng/espeak-ng indicates it is available as a SAPI 5 voice - but I think you may need to build it yourself.  Though there are possibly binaries people have already made.  That might be worth a separate thread.

Kind regards

Quentin.

You want to unsubscribe?  There is a link at the bottom of each email:

To unsubscribe from this group, send email to nvda-users+...@nvaccess.org

Before you do though, I'd be keen to hear why?  And what the group isn't doing you thought it would?

If it's too busy, you can set it to "archive" mode. We had some instructions in our In-Process blog a few weeks ago: https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-17-july-2025/#groups

Most users who do not want to receive every email will prefer “Archive” mode. One email a day of each message sent to the list that day, similar to the digest mode on other lists. To set the group to archive mode:

  1. Go to: https://groups.google.com/my-groups
  2. Press t to jump to the table
  3. Press down arrow to move into the table
  4. Press control+alt+right arrow to move to the second column, with the group name
  5. Press control+alt+down arrow to move down to the “NVDA Screen reader discussion” group
  6. Press control+alt+right arrow to move to the “Subscription” column
  7. Press alt+down arrow to open the list of options
  8. Use the down and up arrow keys to select the desired subscription, then enter to select

Google Groups automatically saves the selection.

Muhammed,

Your post came through to the group so you do seem to still be subscribed (I've also CC'd you directly just in case).
