I am struggling to use the touch keyboard on my Snapdragon Surface running Windows 11. Currently running beta 5 of NVDA 2026.2, but the issues are the same as with earlier NVDA versions.
I hope was that I could use the touch keyboard in the unlikely event of not having a real keyboard available - just like using an iPhone. The good book (NVDA Manual) tells me the touch keyboard is always available if it undocked. I am yet to discover how to do that. When tapping the icon on the taskbar (which requires the real keyboard) the touch keyboard sometimes appears. Sometimes tapping letters inserts them into the document, but often nothing happens. Then the keyboard seems to wander off. It is not at all like using the touch keyboard on the iPhone.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
