Hi all,

I’m delighted to announce the immediate release of Numpad Nav Mode 26.1. This release makes the add-on compatible with more recent NVDA releases and modernizes the add-on source code. The new add-on release is making its way to NV Access add-on store.

Along with 26.1 stable version, a new beta build (26.1.100) is also available to test NVDA 2026.1 compatibility.

IMPORTANT: this is a forked version of Luke Davis’s Numpad Nav Mode add-on. I understand that people have been asking Luke to update this add-on to no avail for some time. Therefore, I have forked it and plan to maintain it until NVDA 2026.1 stable version is released or finding a new permanent maintainer, whichever happens earlier.

Changelog:

* NVDA 2025.1 compatibility.

* Made the add-on code more robust with help from Pyright (a Python static type checker).
