In my continued efforts in addressing the accessibility challenges with the new Whatsapp interface on Windows with NVDA. I sent the below ticket to their accessibility support team. I would appreciate if someone could validate this behavior, just to confirm that I am not dreaming these issues up.
Issue 1: Reading Meta AI responses in Chat Window
"Environment: WhatsApp Windows, NVDA, Win 10/11.
Issue: Meta AI chat responses are unreadable in the active message history. Steps: 1. Send a prompt to Meta AI. 2. Shift+Tab from the edit box to the chat history. 3. Arrow up to the Meta AI response. Current Behavior: NVDA ignores message text and only says "Right arrow for context menu." Content is only readable via the "last message preview" in the main chat list. Expected Behavior: NVDA should read the full AI response when focused in the chat window, similar to standard messages. Impact: Blind users cannot read Meta AI responses in real-time. Fix: Map Meta AI bubbles to standard UIA/ARIA text roles for screen reader detection."
