Hello guys,

Hope you are all doing well.

As you may be aware, eloquence for android is coming back!

Well, how does this relate to NVDA? We need to push for an actual 64 bit
eloquence addon, a legal one by the way, to be made by codefactory! A
lot of us are craving for this and this would be a real game changer
especially for those of us who have hearing difficulties.

Though Sapi support has improved in the latest NVDA, still it is not as
snappy as a direct synth addon.

As an alpha tester of android eloquence, it literally sounds like how
would expect on a windows machine.

Let's all write to codefactory so it can come back.

If they have a monthly, anual and lifetime subscription registration
system, I'd gladly pay for it, no matter what the options are!

If someone could write a nice petition to codefactory, this would be
wonderful.

Best regards,

Muhammad.

Hello,

I paid Code Factory for my Eloquence license. I reported several issues and never heard a thing from them. They did not address significant problems, and I stopped using it.

I would hope that there would be assurances that they do a proper job of maintaining the TTS engine.

Best
George

So long as they can see a profit, I suspect they will maintain the software.
As for me, and I know others, I cannot stand Eloquence so have never used it if I had a choice.
For those who love it, I hope something can come of this.

I hope others comment on the question of responsiveness of the SAPI 5
Eloquence from Code Factory. It's been a long time since I tried the
demo of the add-on and compared it with the SAPI 5 demo but my
recollection is that responsiveness was similar. Also, if I use the
SAPI 5 voices available from Microsoft in NVDA, responsiveness is the
same as using One Core voices and they are the same voices, one being
SAPI and the other not.

Therefore, without further comment, we don't know if the slow
responsiveness is a problem on that one machine or a general problem.
We therefore don't know if there is a need for the add-on.

I  use it on my iPhone, but that's about it, I've since switched to Rh
Voice as it is just as clear and responsive for me.
