Several years ago, I used Thunderbird with NVDA and really liked it. More recently, I found that Thunderbird froze a lot on my Windows 10 computer. I have not tried it on my Windows 11 computer. How are list members finding this combination of screen reader, and email client these days?

That was evidently a problem with your system.  I've used Thunderbird
for years on Windows 10 with no such problem, nor have I seen reports of
such a problem affecting users in general.

I use Thunderbird in Windows 11 with no problem as you describe.

Hello all

How accessible is Thunderbird's calendar with NVDA? Where could I find
some information about using them together? Any pointers/assistance will
be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

to NVDA Screen Reader Discussion, Jamie Pauls
Hi, Jami! Some times ago there was a problem with Thunderbird and their interaction with Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) process resulting high CPU load by DWM process, evenif Thunderbird window was minimized. It was not related to screen reader software and was solved in newest versions of Thunderbird, so maybe you just need to update your Thunderbird installation.
