to NVDA Screen Reader Discussion
Hi all,
To date, I haven’t found any screen reader that works effectively with SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). For those unfamiliar with it, SPSS is a software application used for data analysis, research visualization, and quantitative studies.
Are there any ongoing efforts to make this application more accessible?
Thank you!

I don't have a background in statistics, but based on the accessibility
research and online discussions that I've read, most of the
accessibility effort is concentrated on the open-source R statistics
package. I would suggest using it if possible. Jonathan Godfrey's
documentation is also recommended.

Well worth trying Jamovi.  I have spent quite some time working with the developer and it works pretty well with NVDA.  Use the desktop, not the cloud version.  It is based on R.I have some freen reader specific documentation if of interest.  There are a few crucial concepts and commands to understand.  Happy to summarise, but would need to refresh myself - haven't used for a while.
I am feeling guilty for not having contacted Jonathan G.  Would be keen to know what he thinks of it.
