good evening to all,

I M umesh Rathore from India,

i found real bug with addon store witch is a addon maintainer can not check addons properly they only checks addons are install addon was installed then passed other wise failed

you can not believe i found two addons in addon store which are there just for the sake of name thay addons are: YTVideoDownloader and yt-dlp video ve ses indirici 

i wish you can check also addon durability and working status then approve other wise you can ignore that addons

Hi:
Are you trying to say that users can't tell if addons in the store
actually work? We don't have manual review processes anymore, it was a
huge drain on volunteer resources and wasn't sustainable. but it would
be worth adding user ratings to addons so that junk submission
eventually drop out of the store or something. unfortunately this
infrastructure is already a lot to maintain by a small team.

Hi umesh, Derek and others,
User ratings would be a useful addition, but otherwise I think you can compare the Add-ons store with the Appstore or Playstore. Apple and Google are not responsible for whether an app actually does what the developer promises, and similarly, NV Access is not responsible for the operation of an add-on. They test if the add-on installs and run a scan through VirusTotal, I don't think you can expect more from NV Access and other contributors in this area.
Also keep in mind that add-ons that rely on external services like YouTube may have worked when they were added, but may no longer work due to a change in the external service. If you have found an issue in an add-on, please contact the developer of the add-on.

Let me say again that the 2 addons YTVideoDownloader and yt-dlp video they say do not work in NVDA even though they were approved by the addon store owners without checking their functionality. My aim was that this message should reach the addon community and they should keep this in mind in future. Thanks!
