Dear NVDA Users Community,

I am writing to share a milestone that is deeply personal to many of us in the accessibility and assistive technology space. As we reflect on the journey of NVDA, I have published a new post on The Somebody, Nobody, Anybody and Everybody Blog! dedicated to celebrating 20 years of the "Invisible Engine."

You can read the full post here:

The Invisible Engine: Celebrating 20 Years of NVDA’s Global Impact

https://www.mister-kayne.com/2026/05/the-invisible-engine-celebrating-20.html

In this piece, I explore the profound impact NV Access and this community-driven screen reader have had on global accessibility. From breaking down financial barriers to fostering a world where independence isn't a premium feature, NVDA has fundamentally changed the landscape of digital inclusion.

As a long-time user, I wanted to document how this software has moved from a bold experiment to an essential pillar of our daily lives. I invite you all to read the tribute and share your own stories of how NVDA has empowered your journey over the last two decades in the comments on the post. Also feel free to subscribe to us, share and show some LOVE.

Thank you to the developers, the donors, and this vibrant community for making the last 20 years possible.

Warm regards,

Mister Kayne
