Seeking best addon to learn from

I am an intermediate level python programmer. I know the basics and also code in other languages, but I'm not a wizard like Joseph! I find the developers' manual confusing and learn best from studying others' source code.
Which addons have you found to be the best crafted for making the addon creation process clear. Basically, who writes the easiest to understand code; not the most optimized, but the easiest to follow and learn from?

Well, if you prefere to study add-ons from beginers, maybe you can use the developed by the portuguese team...
