Hi everyone,

I wanted to check whether there is any way to take notes during Microsoft Teams meetings using NVDA. Is there any AI-powered tool or other accessible method that can automatically generate meeting notes while attending a Teams meeting?

At times, it can be difficult to listen to both the meeting discussion and NVDA speech simultaneously while also trying to take notes. I'm looking for suggestions on tools, features, or best practices that can help capture meeting notes more effectively.

Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations.

Best regards,

While I regularly take notes during Teams meetings I take your point that one can be kept busy.  I switch between the meeting and a Word file.  I spent quite some years earning a living with a manual typewriter, so don't have to rely on the screen reader much when writing and certainly do not have keystrokes being echoed.
You cdan, of course, record a Teams meeting if participants are happy.  There are countless tools that will summarise the recording.  This stayed old bloke would not trust them, but the option is there.  In fact, I am fairly sure that Teams (not my freeish version) can produce a transcript and summarise it.

I - somewhat ironically - echo Andrews workflow, that is  I learned on  a typewriter and don't use keyboard echo either. Just to add that the actual "notes" part of a Teams meeting, which uses Microsoft's loop components, also works reasonably well with NVDA for shared notetaking.
Do also remember that you can use NVDA's audio setting to split NVDA speech and system audio to different ears: that helps some people focus on one over the other. Thanks

Sean
