Hello,

I know this question might be a little out of the box, but how would you enter a capital letter with a braille display using computer braille? I have a Braille Sense 6 mini, and I need to enter a password in something, but I can’t figure out how to make a capitalized letter. Again, I know this question may be a little out there but thought I would ask.

Thanks.

Hi,

Which braille table are you using for braille input? At least in United States 8-dot computer braille (English)m you would enter capital letter by adding a dot 7 (backspace key) to the letter.

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi,

I’m using the grade 2 input braille but when I switch to the computer braille profile it should use the us computer braille table.

Hi,

On second thought, looks like the braille tables were set wrong. The output was US, 6 dot and input was US 6 dot. Switched it to eight dot braille and it works fine now. Thanks, and sorry.

Usually, it is dot seven plus your letter. So if it’s an A, it would be Dots 1 and 7.

All the best

In Grade 2, you precede the letter with Dot six. If you want full caps it’s two dot sixes. In US Computer Braille, as has been said, you add Dot seven to any letter.

All the best
