I just remembered, that are coming to the list is because I send it directly to the email address. Maybe I have to do that when starting out a thread and when wanting to respond to a message. I have no idea how to fix this.

in response to a message the person got directly from you. I've tried
this command in Thunderbird and it works. The message you replied to
had the same subject line as mail from the list but it came from one
person directly to you. What happened is this:
You sent a first message to the list. Someone replied. When you
replied to the message, it only went to the person. Then when the
person replied, it only went to you.
If you use the command in a message that was sent to the list, it will
work.

Work with other lists as always. Only with this one list, when replying
use the command I gave. The list is set up differently than most lists.
I told the list owners when the list was only perhaps two days old to
switch to Groups.io because of this problem and no one was interested.
Now, people are going to think they are sending mail to the list when
they aren't and the problem could have been completely avoided. It is
probably too late to change now because so many people have joined this
list.

So how do you know if it is coming from an individual or from the list without having to go back through the columns? You are correct, it worked this time so you must have sent it to the list. there has to be an easy way to know where it was sent but maybe not.
I guess all the years I thought i was sending to the list, when I did not type in the list name from the beginning, they were private messages, right?

The interesting thing, as I think I mentioned earlier, is that on this list I can send a message to the "sender only" but cannot do that on the groups.io lists. I definitely like that for a list in case it definitely is a private message.
