Hello:
I'm trying to use Discord with NVDA without success.
I have the following questions.
A colleague has provided this link, mentioning that it corresponds to the NVDA community at Discord. Is the link right?

This person has found the following guide about Discord and NVDA. I'd like to ask if the guide is really appropriate, since I'm finding issues to create an account, and according to the guide:

"There are no major accessibility hurdles".

I need this info for me but also for my job, since they, if it is quite accessible, will use it for communication.
Cheers and thanks for your attention.

I have used discord before through the browser (Chrome) and I was able to navigate everything with NVDA as well as create an account.
One issue you might be facing, though, is the HCaptcha challenge, but this does not have to do with screen reader access.

Hello:
I am dictating this response on my iPhone.
Discord is rather counterintuitive and awkward; however, it can be used.
If I had to choose, I wouldn’t choose it.
I needed assistance to get in. The capture was rather problematic. After getting past the capture, however, most of the prompts were accessible; however, I have only used it to a limited extent. I can understand why you’re having trouble getting your account set up. Get cited assistance to get past the capture.

Hello everyone,

This is a really interesting discussion. I have heard a great deal about the Discord utility over time, but I have never truly had the opportunity to indulge or explore it myself.

I would be very interested to know what the actual benefits of using this service are, especially within the context of the NVDA community. Given the mixed feedback regarding the "counterintuitive" nature of the interface and the problematic CAPTCHA hurdles, any insight into the value the platform provides would really help me consider if it's worth subscribing to or setting up an account.

Is the real-time nature of the communication significantly better than the traditional mailing list for troubleshooting or networking?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Warm regards,

Hello:
I had missed this message until now.
In addition to this, I'd like to know if Gitter is easier to use, and if both services (Discord and Gitter) are simolar.
I ask about Gitter since it's explicitly mentioned in the following link, wher Discord doesn't appear:

Thanks.

The biggest asset of Discord is that everyone is using it for community communication these days. (Don't take that literally.) It's like in my area where every business uses Facebook instead of their own web sites; hate the platform, have to use it if I want to communicate with businesses other than in person.
