I have come across a peculiarity when using the NVDA Portable 2026 Beta.
After Launching Task Manager with the beta running, I find it totally
inaccessible with only unknown and pane being announced by NVDA.
Switching back to normal NVDA 2025 restores full access.
This problem persists with all addons disabled in the beta.
I know I am supposed to report on GitHub but even after using screenreaders
for 25 years I still find those GitHub pages an incomprehensible nightmare.

Hi,
Portable NVDA releases regardless of version cannot interact with apps running with admin privileges such as Task Manager.
Cheers,
Joseph

OK - thanks for the clarification.
I suspect therefore if this is the case, that this is the problem with the Everything Search app as well then, as I believe, from memory,  I had to allow admin privileges for the app to search the computer properly.
