Hello.
I have a very strange and interesting problem with NVDA.
I am using NVDA 2026.1 beta 5, not the portable version, but the one installed directly on my system.
When using 32-bit SAPI 5 voices, some SAPI 5 voices were not speaking with NVDA.
I actually first discovered this issue in the alpha versions, when the 32-bit SAPI 5 bridge was being developed.
Some of the 32-bit SAPI 5 voices I used worked fine, while others did not speak at all.
I tried some solutions I came up with myself, and this is the result I reached.
If NVDA is run as an administrator, the 32-bit SAPI 5 voices I use speak without any problems.
If NVDA is started normally, some of the voices do not speak at all, while others cause NVDA to freeze and restart.
How can this problem be solved?
Thank you.

Hi,

We need one critical piece of information to help you: what are the voices that speaks and does not?

Cheers,

Joseph

These are entirely locally produced Turkish voices made in Turkey.
One is GVZ Netokur, and the other is Spiker.
GVZ Netokur contains 5 Turkish voices: Gul, Levent, Ersin, Gul Premium, and Sinan Premium.
The Spiker voice is a single-speaker synthesizer.
Thank you.

Hi,

Isn’t this the same issue that’s being tracked here:

NVDA 2026.1 Beta 1 and Turkish 32 bit Synthesizer · Issue #19567 · nvaccess/nvda

If yes, please comment on it after reading the entire discussion there.

Yes, the same issue is being discussed.
However, a solution to the problem has not yet been found.
