Dear Mentors,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Vedansh Saini, and I am a second-year undergraduate student at IIT BHU. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to NumFOCUS under Google Summer of Code 2025 and become an active part of this incredible community.

I have experience working with MERN stack, Python (including Pandas), Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git, and Gerrit. My background includes building web applications, open-source contributions, and working with version control tools, which I believe will help me make meaningful contributions to NumFOCUS projects.

I would love guidance on how to get started, specifically, on exploring the codebase, identifying beginner-friendly issues, and setting up the development environment. Also, if there are any projects that align with my tech stack, I would appreciate any pointers on how to approach them.
