Hello NumFOCUS community! 👋

My name is Hyndhava Mahesh, a final-year AI & ML undergraduate at Woxsen University , currently interning at the Woxsen AI Research Centre where I work on retrieval-augmented generation and enterprise AI systems.

I'm planning to apply for GSoC 2026 with NumFOCUS  and wanted to connect early with mentors and community members.

My background:

  • Strong Python foundation with hands-on experience in ML pipelines, NLP, and data preprocessing
  • Built production-grade AI systems using LangChain, Pinecone, and GPT-4o
  • Familiar with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and data analysis workflows
  • Active research in Retrieval Augmented Generation and hybrid retrieval architectures

Project I'm interested in: The Scalable Online Bayesian State Space Models project - building GPU-accelerated inference using JAX/Numba and distributed computing via Ray. This aligns with my ML modeling experience and my interest in probabilistic systems.

I'm currently going through the PyMC documentation and the GSoC ideas list. I would love to connect with the relevant mentor to understand the project better and find a good first issue to contribute to.
