Aspiring GSoC Contributor - Getting started with NumFOCUS

Hello NumFOCUS Team,

I am Atul Boyal, a B.Tech Computer Science student at IIT Hyderabad . I'm passionate about open-source development, machine learning, and cloud computing, and I'm eager to contribute to NumFOCUS as part of my Google Summer of Code 2025 journey.

I have hands-on experience in:

- Machine Learning & AI : Developed Prognosis-AI, a healthcare prediction system using XGBoost, Random Forest and Linear Regression.

I'm particularly interested in contributing to SciPy, as it aligns with my experience in Machine Learning algorithms and scientific computing. Could you recommend a beginner-friendly issue or any resources to help me get started?
