Hi Everyone,

My name is Subhamjyoti Maharana, and I am writing to introduce myself to the NumFOCUS community. I have been following the incredible work done here for some time and am eager to begin contributing to the ecosystem.

A bit about my background: I am currently a 1st BTech year student at National Institute of Technology, Warangal, majoring in Computer Science Engineering. My technical toolkit includes:

• Languages: Proficient in - Python, C++, Julia

• Interests: Data Science, Optimization, Documentations

My journey with NumFOCUS so far: I have spent the last few weeks familiarizing myself with the various NumFOCUS sponsored projects. I’ve been particularly diving into the repositories for pvlib and AiiDA] to understand their architecture and contribution guidelines.

I am looking to leverage my background to help solve open issues, improve documentation, or assist with testing.

I’m excited to learn from this community and contribute to the tools that power scientific research globally. If there are specific "good first issues" or mentorship channels you would recommend for someone with my profile, I would love to hear about them!
