I hope you are doing well. My name is Ahmed, and I am a third-year Computer Science student with a strong interest in open-source development and impactful software projects. I have experience working with C/C++, Python, React.js, and Node.js, and I enjoy contributing to projects that solve real-world problems.

I am highly interested in participating in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) with NumFOCUS and would love to gain insights into how I can contribute effectively. While I have explored some of the NumFOCUS-affiliated projects, I would appreciate your guidance on:

Recommended projects for a student with my skill set.
How to make meaningful pre-GSoC contributions.
Best practices for writing a strong GSoC proposal.
