Hey everyone!
I’m Aditya Hiremath, a 3rd-year AI & ML student at PES University, and I’m super excited to explore open-source contributions in NumFOCUS for GSoC 2025!
I have a solid background in machine learning, Python, and scientific computing, with experience using Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, and TensorFlow. Recently, I worked as an Undergraduate Research Intern at PES University, where I explored bias mitigation strategies in Large Language Models (LLMs) under Prof. Srinivas Katharguppe.
What really excites me is the intersection of ML and science—using machine learning to tackle real-world scientific problems. I’d love to contribute to NumFOCUS projects, learn from experienced developers, and collaborate with fellow contributors.
I’m looking for guidance on where to start—which repositories are active, any beginner-friendly issues, or general tips on making my first contribution. If anyone has recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
Looking forward to working with this amazing community. Let’s build something awesome together! 🚀
