Introduction: TANISHA LANDE interested in contributing to NUMFOCUS

Hello NumFOCUS community members,

My name is Tanisha lande (tanu) currently 1st year B.Tech undergraduate student pursuing artificial intelligence and data science , 

I am interested in contributing to NumFOCUS projects with a long-term goal of preparing for Google Summer of Code. I am currently strengthening my foundations in Python, Git, and open-source workflows, and I am particularly interested in projects related to scientific Python, data/AI tooling, and research-oriented software.

I would love to understand how beginners can get started, which repositories are beginner-friendly, and what would be the right way to contribute meaningfully to the community. I am excited to learn, collaborate, and gradually take up real issues while following project guidelines and community practices.
