Excited to Contribute to GSoC and Open-Source Development

Hello NumFOCUS Community,

I am Kshitij Chaudhary, a B.Tech student specializing in Big Data Analytics at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (2021–2025). My passion lies in machine learning, time series forecasting, and open-source development, and I have been actively working on AI-driven solutions for predictive modeling and decision-making.
AI & Performance Tuning – Worked with transformer-based models for financial forecasting and stock market analysis.

Open-Source Contributions – Explored Aeon’s forecasting module and eager to enhance its ML forecasters.I am particularly interested in contributing to the aeon forecasting module as part of GSoC. This project aligns with my expertise in machine learning for time series prediction, and I am excited about the opportunity to improve forecasting algorithms, enhance usability, and optimize performance.Additionally, I am highly interested in contributing even before the official GSoC period begins. If there are any early-stage project tasks or contributions I can start working on, I would love the opportunity to begin contributing as soon as possible.I am committed to dedicating my time to this project, collaborating with mentors, and contributing meaningfully to the open-source time series forecasting community.
